Thread: Poll: Parents Wedding Gift

We went a little overboard with our mom's because it was Mother's Day weekend but both mom's got a Venetian glass necklace from Jared (I bought the matching earrings for my mom from my brother). We got my dad a Cuisinart Griddler and his dad some fancy golf balls. My grandmother handmade a Raggedy Ann and a Raggedy Andy for my brother and me. If we didn't still have them, we'd be dead...

We were tight on money, so basically we just got them either a picture of us in a picture frame or a photo album with our engagements and my bridals in them. We also had a package with our photographer that after the wedding they each got a small photo album identical to our bigger one. My Blog

We gave each parent set a choice of either their favorite wedding photo matted and framed as an 16X20 or a coffee table book of all of their favorite wedding photos. None of them have made their choice yet. Ours will be getting wedding albums like ours... except a smaller version. They come with our photography package. That is all that I know for sure right now. I'm Bionically Challenged

So far just a pair of fuzzy flip flops and a $10 starbucks cards for the mom's. David is in charge of getting his dad something and I have NO clue what to get my dad. or stepdad. 8 days.... The time suck! 11/13/09!

We got his parents a photo collage. It had a few pictures of us, but most were of him growing up. I made my parents a book on walmart.com that was a storybook beginning when I was born until the wedding. My Bio 101 in 1001 DFW Knottie Bio

We are writing a person thank you letter to each set of parents, then we are having a calligrapher from Paperie & Co re-write it on pretty card stock. When it's finished we will frame it for them.

We gave our parents hugs. We had NO money left after the wedding and I'm pretty sure my dad and his parents would have thought we were crazy to get them stuff.
