I have a set of Monitor Series 4's that I think are quite decent... they seem to have adequate bass extension for their size, along with reasonable imaging and detail, are not over bright. Only complaint on those particular speakers is I think there may be some box resonance going on. Only sometimes on certain material they give the slightest hint of sounding boxy to me. Not enough to bug me....

I good shape, $50 is about half what they are worth(80-120). I have a pair and wouldn't let them go for $100.no way

What the sleepy one said, I won't let mine go either.

I saw some Polk Audio last week but did not see a model number. The serial number started with a "5a". Does that mean I was looking at moniter series 5a's? Hardrock do the speakers you are talking about have a model number on them?
