Thread: Please Help me design this enclosure

hi , i am looking into making a new enclosure for my kicker cvr 15" , can someone please design it for me , yes i know this is increadably noob but im desperate the max dimensions are : 35" wide 21" deep 16.5" high preferably L port , allthough iv read circle ports are more efficient . kicker reccomends 5 cuft , it is purely up to you what you decide to make it

what car do you have? i assume a trunk (sedan) car from the height

using your measurements, i used two 5" circle ports (PVC piping will be just fine), each one being 15" long. i got 5.0cuft tuned to 32.8hz.

sure. Box Parts (Square Prism) 1 Top, 1 Bottom: 21 (c) x 35 (b) in 0.75 (thick) in 1 Front, 1 Back: 15 (a) x 33.5 (d) in 0.75 (thick) in 2 Sides: 15 (a) x 21 (c) x 0.75 (thick) in Vent Parts 2 Ducts: 5.25 (e), 5 (g) x 15 (h) in c=depth b=width a=height d=inside width e=port height outside g=port height inside h=port length

5 cubes? That seems a little big to me.

I haven't plugged anything into winISD, I'm just going at a glance. Kranny's always seemed like a smart enough guy to me, I'd trust him. I'm by no means the box guru, if anyone were to have that title, it'd be Fallen.

thanks every one for the great input and thanks especially krannyman , i am going to upload pics of it i designed in google sketchup ,but it says im over my limit or something even tho the image is like 9kb , can anyone help ?

Kickers crave airspace. Most factory suggested sizes are on the small size. 5 cubes in ported is gonna give good numbers.

Good luck trying to find 5" PVC. For simplicity I would stick with a wooden slot port.

5 inch pvc is out there, but it is actually 6 inch schedule 40
