1) you will not be admitted to any UC's if you don't complete IGETC
2) I think so, not 100% though
3) For freshmen they randomly select 10% of all applications and tell them to verify the EC's and work they have participated in and have a principle or counselor sign a form. There is a rumor that they do the same for transfers, but my counselor at CC told me that he had only done it for two ...
maybe you can find another community college that offers spanish 2 online only? all but UCLA/UCB I'd say youre a sure in once you fix that. those two anonymous is probably right.
I put cal poly #1 because I want to join the wrestling team.
- The closest Spanish 2 i found was like 45 min away ...but I think I should go for it anyways.
thanks...
I thought you can't take spanish online and have it still count for IGETC
I took 1 year of spanish in high school and passed with a c, i asked my counselors if I could use 1 year in high school + 1 year in college and have that fulfill the requirement , and one counselor said yes and the other said no so that confused me .....they were both Spanish 1
hm...that's a tough situation.
UC's don't know whether you took a class online or not unless it is noted on your transcript. Even then, I doubt they would rescind your admission on that bases alone.
Most CC counselors don't know anything, talk to the admissions offices and ask them. Better yet, try to see an admission officer at one of the campuses that you're applying to.
