RXX very, very nice guns and great pics. I desire many guns and the Springer 1911 is one of them. That thing is awesome!! I carry my XD in the same SKB bag, very nice bag. They make great stuff.
I feel a little inadequate following that, but here it goes. Here is my modest collection.
Top row is:
Springfield XD-.40 My concealled carry. Great gun no problems ever. I ...
I had to take a few photos of the 1901 for another forum; the barrel is actually marked Colt DA .38; still can't decide if it is .38 Long Colt or .38 S&W - the Long Colt chambers and extracts a whole lot easier then tehe .38 S&W but what an anemic round - no wonder we went to the .45!
While I am at it, here are a few more handgun/knife combos:
Series 70 Combat ...
yoffione, sweet Hi-Standard!!!
i had one in my possesion, but my brother wouldn't let me keep it. damn!
it was a H-D Military Version with the longer barrel. I think 6 inch?
man was it sweet! They make super simple, yet super rugged .22's.
yoffione,
The MKII, HS, and Colts are awesome. You have a fine collection of shooting irons sir. Is that Colt a .38auto? That is something to be very proud of. Especially since it belonged to your grandfather.
Thank you Ben. The HS is a neat little gun. I have not been out to shoot it since I have gotten it, but I will very soon.
RXX it is a .38 auto. As I stated I don't know much about it. Perhaps you could shed some light. Is it a predecessor to the 1911? It does say something about the Browning patents and looks very similar.
nifman, great picture and awesome Waco. One of my fav Dalton's ever.
Here are a few new goodies I have picked up in the last week or so.
Ruger Mark III stainless, Sinn 103 Ti Ar UTC, J. Neilson Whisker w/sheath.
Tanfoglio Target Elite .45 Beretta Cougar .40 S&W and S&W .357 Centennial S&W Model 1-1/2 .32 S&W Short centerfire. Shoots 3" groups at 15 yards...round nose lead ammo is available. S&W 325PD Titanium/Scandium .45 acp; knife by Philip Booth Old School; 1972 S&W 39-2 and Bill Johnson knife
Hiya Parker ----- thanks for the tip on the Clark .38 , I am sure it is a great gun { ALL Clark Sr. built guns are } but I'm not into Bullseye -- I like/shoot "Action" type matches. The Firestar Plus is a alloy lower --- the damn thing feeds FMJ or Win. HPs all day long --- the recoil is very mild for such a lite weight gun. S&W made about 1500 of the 646s --- its a L frame with a Titanium cyld. Thanks for the...

Evamore, I had one of these, the SA trigger was unworkable for me with the tiny grip. I I knew then I could have had it swapped to a DAK or DAO, I think I would have kept it. Very nice little piece, but the SA side of the trigger made the LOP just too short to shoot consistently. They are SWEET little carry guns, easy to tote around. __________________ This is MY rifle.
