Gonna be an ugly year for truck/auto sales and profits. Surprising any
manufacturer would talk about new models or engines. Odd that auto
manufacturers recalled previously laid-off employees after the C4C program.

Odd that auto manufacturers recalled previously laid-off employees after the C4C program. The old order has been thrown on its head: The Tacoma(watered down Hilux)is now outselling GMC.
Look at Sliverado's drop from a year ago, that is amazing. I think the order will keep changing, because less and less people will be buying GM or Chrysler trucks (and cars), and going with Ford.
A year ago GM had an employee pricing sale on and sold more than usual.
Look at the YTD numbers last year and the Silverado was well behind the
F150. One month isn't a trend, especially after the hangover from CFC.
The CFC deal seems to have done exactly what I thought it wold, push demand up instead of creating any. I cant believe those GMC/Silverado numbers, WOW! What this is going to do now is create another cash crunch for GM with them trying to replenish their stock and not selling any of it. Ford is on top without a doubt. With the new lineup coming out they should be able to solidify their lead. ...

I'm guessing the Dakota won't be around much longer. 399 units is awful. How many Raiders were sold, 10? Ford seems to be hanging on better than anyone else at this point, but it's definitely bad for everybody.
Quote: I would rather have a Hilux without cruise control , than a Tacoma with heated seats cruise and butt massagers and a self destructing frame . ____________________ Hilux's just keep on going. Not the best towing package but they are pretty indestructible.
Well i defied the odds, got a Hilux without cruise control, and managed to do some underbody damage on some offroad tracks in the Yarra State Forrest. Not really that unbreakable! By the way, I am not the same person appearing on all the forums you go to. I don't follow you around on every website you go to, I don't even give the slightest crap about you or your opinions. I think Robert, you are the one that uses aliases. People do...
Cant wait for the October numbers Mike! Pondering over how everyone did without the CFC money and the initial sales drop after the program. Think any one will be up?

Had my 89 for 9 years, my 2000 for 7.5 and plan on keeping this one for 10+. My 2000 is still in mint condition with about 120K on it. Looks and runs like new still. My 89 is still on the road too.
