I was able to get this working on 5990/37 by adding HDCP block and flashing with serial. Thanks for the firmware it works great.

@vb6rocod I have one question about modification your last firmware. I recieved checksum error again, even i follow the instructions you had given me a couple weeks ago. DVP5990_12_vb6_v6_1.rar makes me problems. Where did i make mistake?? I use hex editor, and everything else, as you discribed me... vb6rocod... I have big problem (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sad.gif ) ı upgrade your DVP5990_37_vb6_v_2_2_1254.rar firmware but after when cd loading my dvd player closed..and ı saw green screen... I tryed many times always dvd closed.. what can ı do please help...

Hello, thanks for modding DVP5990/12 firmware. I would like to keep the original skin and icons. Is there any way to do so? Also I would like to know if it is possible to use the buttons "vol +" and "vol -" on the remote for the volume of the current dvd. Best regards, merry christmas!

Great work, vb6rocod, much appreciated. I don't know if this is even possible (it was in a Grundig firmware hack), but what I liked very much was: PAL60&#33; This means that NTSC/60Hz movies are not converted to PAL/50Hz but instead keep their frame rate of 60Hz to avoid flicker and are output as PAL/60Hz. All new analog TVs can cope with 60Hz PAL and this makes watching NTSC on PAL TVs very smooth. But it may not be possible,...
