Thread: Petter Solberg to drive a Full Works..........

This is just good news all around. He may be driving for Citroen now, but Petter is still "free agent-ish". It's probably wishful thinking but now that the world economy is merely "bad" and not "imploding to completely destruction", I'm hoping a 3rd works team will come back somehow.

C4 for the last two rounds of the JWRC. Sadly, it's a 2008 car but it's part of Citroens push for the manufacturers title. Just for clarification, Petter is not running JWRC. The Citreon Junior Team is a top flight team. I'm sure there was some incentive involved as Petter could be pivotal in Seb's fight against Hirvonen. He has a great track record in England and the Citreon has a great track record on tarmac. He may still drive for Ford next year, so I wouldn't read too much into it.

Petter's job at Rally GB is to kick ass on the Fords. It's business, not personal. In a strange way, he increases his chances of a Ford gig next season if he does well at his job on RGB.

This is correct in a way because if Solberg wins with Citreon then Ford will assume that he will produce with them as well and would rather him drive a Ford at that point.
