Prior to me owning a 93 150Tid I used to own a 93SE 2.0lpt hatchback. I used to read all about the horror stories about my old car much in the same way as I do with all the problems associated with my latest car. I must admit to being an advocate of petrol over diesel, and not just on Saabs. The issues on the old engines were sludge related because the recommended oil was semi synthetic and this caused excessive wear. How much of a rework the new engines are over the old is not something I can't answer but fully synthetic oil is standard now and that makes a big difference to both engine and turbo ...

The B207R has a dual mass. I recently removed and replaced. Two saab technicians told me otherwise, which makes me wonder...
