Well I bought my new card on saturday. Asus Xonar Essence STX . It works perfectly in Windows 7 (64 bit) with 8 GB of ram. It also has this cool "virtual surround sound" feature that works with my headphones so now when I play WoW I have a simulated surround sound in the headphones and the sounds change based on how close/far I am from stuff and what side of my toon the sound is coming from.    Anyway you guys enjoy Creative and...

I notice that you like to especially reply to my posts in particular and counter them no matter what. I am sure this is called stalking, trolling and flaming but I might be wrong. I take it you have no other better things to do than to build up a background about me based on what I post in different topics and take everything for granted.

Administrators that have issues with statements that are being made on an open public forum should not add fuel to the fire and publically try to flame the offending poster.   This makes the admins look real bad.  Weather you want to admit it or not as an offical Creative forum this in the eyes of all that have access to read these posts are in itself negative press for Creative as a whole.   You can quote the disclaimer all you want it...

There will be no fix for this issue.  Creative has everyone in a position right now where they face the choice of buying a new sound card if they really want hardware audio.  Their business strategy will not allow them to correct the issue, they know they will likely lose a few customers, but they also know that a good percentage will simply upgrade to the Creative card that works (PCI-x version of the X-Fi).  The financial benefits of...

Hi,   I long came to the realization that working 64-bit drivers were never going to happen. So I enabled the onboard Realtek sound to use the microphone jack, while keeping the Audigy 2 for sound output. Sure it might not be a "comfortable" solution but it's an actual solution that works, very well I might add.   You'll have a working mic input and also the satisfaction that you did not throw away money for a new sound...

Out of curiosity, zan2828, what vendor did you chose and what card? Because I am starting to get the vibe too.
