I am glad for you! Sounds yummy and you are sure to enjoy giving them. I haven't ever had pear butter, apple butter-yes, but not pear.

I made pear butter when my neighbor's tree was loaded and the bees and such. I made mine with ginger, cloves, cinnamon. I called it Spicy Pear Butter. It was very good. I just put the pears, spices, and a bit of cider on low and simmered until dark and thick. Blessings, Amy

I didn't have a recipe, I went by taste and when it got to the right consistancy. I simmered it for a long time.

I used about the same recipe for pear butter. But I didn't have any cider, so I used some, very litte actually, pomergrante/cherry juice that I had in the fridge. Great dark color.

I bet that was good. I use what I have on hand. I've come up with really tasty things this way.
