you know those little dish rags you knit well they strech when they are wetand shrink when thay are dry, but Id say that it is not pre shrunk and carenot to over dry any cotton.

Well all I know is that I have made several dishcloths with them and afterwashing and putting through a normal dryer cycle, they are still the samesize as originally made...

If peaches and cream is the stuff WalMart sells on large cones, I made 4potholders using different pattern stitches and they changed size afterbeing washed and dried.

crochet_queen_03 replied 3 years, 7 months ago
yeap, that's what I was talking about... so I guess I should make it largerat first then wash it?

terrybb replied 3 years, 7 months ago
If you don't wash it in hot water or dry it in a hot dryer it shouldn'tshrink.

Well, I wash in cold water, and dried on either medium or low. Thepotholders shrunk differently depending which stitch was used.I'd suggest making a small swatch (Maybe 6"x6" or 8"x8") in the patternstitch you're planning on using, then wash and dry the way you intend towash and dry your final product.
