*facepalm*   ...Wow, you do realize the point of the Go was to ELIMINATE UMD's?  If they're going to make an adapter for UMD's why not put a disk drive in there in the first place?  While personally I'm against the Go, the library of digital games is good enough anyway, so the adapter would be used for very few games not on the Go yet.  Note the word yet.  Games like Crisis Core ...

If there was this adapter, PSP Go should have been PSP-1000 from the start.

Hey, no worries.  It actually makes sense.  I personally don't think that EVERY game for the "original" PSP will be put into downloadable format.  If a UMD drive were indeed made, it would allow users of original PSPs to upgrade to the Go with less hassle.  ...

maybe they will make it so the UMD drive will copy the playable data over to the psp go and it can be used that way

The PSP GO has already been hacked.... hell it was hacked 2 days after it was released... and besides maybe they could make it so it would be like when you game share.... that you need the initial boot up of the disc everytime you wanna play a UMD

But I can see how some people may be interested in having an adapter they could use at home, while keeping the portability of the Go when they leave the house (of course, they'd only have their DD...

Right, you get a digital manual but they're practically useless, you can't even look at while you're playing!  The majority of the time I need a manual is when I'm in the middle of a game and I want to check something or look up something. About recoding, I don't believe the games are being altered, for the most part, to their download format.  The hackers and custom firmware writers proved that nearly all PSP games...
