Thread: PRODRIVE BRAKE UPGRADE

I own a 96 WRX import, and Im looking at buying the 330mm brake package upgrage from prodrive. Could anyone tell me if this will be a straightforward conversion on my WRX? And if I would be better off spending more and getting either brembo's or AP racing's? Thanx

I had the Prodrive brake upgrade on my classic, it went straight on out of the box with no fitting problems at all. But for the money I wasn`t too impressed and always wished I`d gone with APs. So that would be my choice if your prepared to spend that amount of money. Neil.

I would have thought the Prodrive alcon brakes would have been significantly better than the Brembo's if you're talking about getting a set of the gold brembo's off a newer STi. These are definetely road brakes and, while better than the standard subaru branded 4 pots, they are nothing too special. Alcons and APs are in a different league. The Brembos on my newage are far far better than my Prodrive/Alcon ever were. Get a set of APs

Get some of the K-sports in the group buy! I currently have StopTechs, but will need new discs/pads shortly, just that will cost me over 500 quid! Then there is the fitting labour charge. I can get new k-sports for not much more than that.
