Thread: POssible reasons for getting period every 18 -20 days
Started 1 month, 1 week ago by lauri446
I am 38 years old. Have been regular my whole life.
All of a sudden I am getting my past 3 periods like every 18-20 days or so.
Lasta about 4-5 days as they usually do.
Anyone else go through this before I'd like to know what you came up with.
My mother had a hyst. at 49 for pre-cancerous conditions.
I had a scraping done around age 18 for pre-cancerous cells after a pap.
Did ...
I am glad I read this post. Good information. I am getting ready to see a gyn for cystocele and I have seen the mess mentioned as an option. I had a rectocele done and sex is really painful now even after 4 years. Now I have this problem... I wish the links had not been removed.
Somebody please give me some advice on this. Also, I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and have been VERY anxious about this situation and have had allergies with sinus drainage, etc. going on for several weeks. Could any of these factor into my nausea? There was some genital to genital contact, not direct rubbing of the penis head onto the vaginal opening or anything, but some contact ...
A lot of women choose the IUD cause they don't want a period. I don't think there's anything wrong with you at all. I think you're just one of the lucky ones who doesn't get a period while using the IUD.
Although it's not impossible to get pregnant after a tubal ligation- there is an increased chance of an ectopic pregnancy (where the pregancy occurs outside the uterus). This is incredibly dangerous and you will definitely want to see your doctor.
However, I think there is a better chance that you are experiencing pre-menapausal symptoms. My mother is currently in her early forties and ...
As the title says,
one side of my clitorous is bigger than the other.
It rubs on my thighs and is very irritating. It itches and hurts at the same time.
What is this problem called? How does it happen? How can it be resolved?
Hi everybody!
Thank you so much for your advice. I really do appreciate that. I'm doing better down there now. Also I had a red rash down there on both sides of my legs from sweating too much. Anyway I never had any children, but I had a wetness problem down there more than once. My doctor knows about that, I can't think of the name he diagnosed it.
Also thank you for the links to websites...
I am 28 years old and have had seriously irregular periods for the past year or so. So, my gynecologist has tried me on a few different birth control pills. Anyway, the last pill she had me on didn't work at all and about 10 days ago I bled so much that she had to give me the depo-provera shot and scrapemy cervix in the office. So that didn't work right away to stop the bleeding, and the next ...
It's a really bad news for most of us... Summer is about to finish and our holiday skin will soon look less "good" if we don't do something!!
Does anyone have tips on how to keep a tan in the city? I know there are many options but can't decide which one is the best... Any suggestions?

anytime there is a history of breast cancer, the doctor and patient have to talk about risks....there ARE risks to taking YAZ and any other birth control drug. I think its best to let your friend discuss this with a trusted GYN who can explain to her what those risks are. My mother had breast cancer, and I was on the pill for many years- turned out to be a really bad idea for me; however I had other risk factors. Make sure your friend is going...
A week ago I got my biopsy results back and was diagnosed with mild vaginal dysplasia and given Aldara cream for 12 weeks to treat it. The thing is, I have symptomatic dysplasia. It usually doesn't cause symptoms, but mine came with constant irritation/burning and a heavy yellow discharge. I've been using the Aldara for a week now and haven't noticed an improvement in my symptoms (supposedly it can take a few weeks to work, but...

As the other poster said, that needs to be discussed with her gyno. There are different kinds of breast cancer and the doctor will need all the details so that they can make an informed decision. And your friend needs to know that as well...and be tested for the gene if that is indicated.
minx i had CIN3 in around april too! and i'm positive that it's my ovary causing the aches and pain. my margins were unclear after the LEEP even after they took TWO swipes outta me during the LEEP. the doc said it extended quite deep into my cervix... find out on monday what the biopsy shows.. thats, 4 days! wish me luck! and i wish the best of luck to you i hope you both figure out what's going on sooner than later. much love,...
kalfieri08: You need to question your family members and find out if this is something that could be hereditary. It will be good for a doctor to know the family background. Have you ever spoken in depth with your mother about this? I find it hard to believe that this could go on like this without someone questioning anything. You need to see a gynocologist and get checked out. What if you want to get married and have a family? You need to know...
