Thread: P7M13 long slide

Started 1 month, 2 weeks ago by DaveS
In the 1980’s Bruce Gray made about 18 long slide compensated P7M13’s for competition. This is the first of a new series (of four that I know of at this point). The slide is extended, the barrel is not. I'm having another mount made for my C-more sight. The trigger is superb. Very clean break, and an internal trigger travel stop. I wanted to thank ...

Very cool! It is going to be a shooter or a safe queen?

Very, very nice. My PSP sits pretty low in my hand and the slide has been known to bite me, so that beavertail must turn the pistol into something fantastic.

Outstanding! Aside from being a premium bullet launcher and an objet d'art , that M13 would make a great choice for a movie gun. Can't you just see this in the hands of some Hans Gruber-like movie villain? Thanks very much for the pics. Keep 'em coming.

I'm going to shoot it in USPSA open (minor). The compensator takes the sharpness out of the recoil of the P7. I never had a problem with the slide biting me, but I do like the beavertail.

as the kids say "That's sick". I was never a fan of the M13. but this is how they should have been made to begin with. First class

Which red dot is that, and what's the weight of the pistol as shown?

Very nice!

Weight is 40 oz. Red dot is a cheapo NCStar. I don't hand load and I don't know of any factory 9 mm that would make major in USPSA.

Bruce mentioned to me that even with the compensator and stronger recoil spring, the slide velocity of the P7 would be too great for a Docter optic.

Under the influence of your animated op-art mind-control device, I'm getting a prescription for Dilantin, buying a tie-dyed shop apron and changing my name to Summer Pansyfaust. Might weld mags for you too, but I'm still struggling with perfecting the extended tubes for Dave here. Single-stack mags are even more difficult to weld...

I resent my request today using the e-mail contact form on the GGI web site. I'm clueless as to what happened to the last mail as I attempted to use the same site that time as well. No insult was intended I assure you.

So it has an extended slide, but a standard length barrel? Forgive my ignorance (the P7 series are fixed barrels iirc) but is the long slide for better swinging characteristics? Please enlighten The slide extension is for the purpose of adding a compensator to the gun. The extension is...
