Thread: P55M-UD2 PS /2 Mouse

I'm looking at a new machine with the P55M-UD2. I'm a bit confused about the keyboard / mouse pS /2 port. Does it accept EITHER a keyboard OR a mouse Can you get some sort of splitter and connect both ? The reason I'm asking is that I've got a KVM switch with PS /2 connectors and I'd REALLY like to be able to get it to work ! There are plenty of USB ports of course , but I ...

It is possible to design a PS/2 mouse port such that it can be split, and the splitters that support this are readily available and inexpensive (under $10, sometimes under $5). However, not all PS/2 ports do support this ... the port has to be designed specifically to enable such support. I do not know about your particular hardware, I can only suggest that you get a splitter and try...
