I'm a little bigger than you (gravitationally speaking) and carry my P228 in a Galco Concealable at about 3:30-4:00ish with no problems on a polymer reinforced Aker dress gun belt. Sig P228 / Para 13.45 / Beretta M9 / DPMS AR-15 / Ruger 10/22. A=A
I'm a fairly big guy and I carry my 229 in a Galco concealable, at about 4:00 or so. It works pretty good for me, and is fairly comfy (though not too easily reached) while driving.
I have a Comp-Tac Pro Undercover for my 228. I like it a lot for my needs. Right there with ya, lcbjr77! 6'1", 240, and a bit of a beer gut! I carry my 228 in a Comp Tac CTAC, usually around 3 to 4:00. It might take some tinkering to find which setting/cant of the holster works best for you, but once you find it it's a very comfortable holster. I put a few layers of moleskin on the bottom of the kydex to keep it from digging/rubbing, but that's when I carried it "...
