Started 1 month ago by Rokawa
Guys...I'm offered with a freakin cheap set of tyres Its a Metzler K3 (made in Germany)...runs less than 1K, still in good shape almost like new The issue is oversize for rear 190/55/17...so would I faced any problem running with this oversize tyre short term or long term effect ?

no problem what so ever... the circumference is a tiny bit larger meaning you will have very slightly less torque and accelleration... but you will not notice the difference.. lots of track day guys use the 190/55 for the rear because it provides a slightly bigger contact patch when at full lean (more grip)

Agree with you on the bigger contact patch Now Im kinda of like this setup since my bike look like a liter bike ;)

Metzler are almost the same as the Pirelli so no isues with quality there. The K3 are their harder compound tyres. With 190, the bike will pitch in slower into corners but will offer you greater mid corner stability. If they're going for a good price, can't fault them.
