there really would be no way for Skype to know what the number was being used for previously, and especially if this is the first time it is being used as a Skype Online number (which is entirely possible), so I hope you aren't blaming Skype the annoyance that has resulted is very understandable, but hey, poopoo happens . . . the good news is that it is very easy to cancel your existing Online ...

I recently purchased an online number, and I've gotten several disturbing calls. I have calls forwarded to my house, and to add to the embarrassment of these calls, my father and grandmother have picked up these calls! The first call was answered by my grandmother. I don't think I've said anything negative or disparaging about Skype compared to some of the other posters that I've read on these forums, Neil. I understand that it's not Skype's problem. That's why I'm trying to find a solution both Skype and I find satisfactory. Unfortunately, it's not as easy as you suggest. The online number cannot be purchased with Skype Credit for Online Numbers in Mexico...
