Thread: On no account let this woman drive

Started 2 months ago by Dalek Dave
See Here [ ^ ] 950 attempts to pass driving test. If she is that bad that she scrapes through after all this time, she ought to be automatically refused to sit again. Now she will inflict mayhem!

She actually just passed the theory test after 950 attempts. The world will be a safe place until she passes the actual "driving test" (which she hasn't done yet).

Come on... and now you will tell us that you remember everything from the theoretical part...

Dalek Dave replied 2 months ago
There was no theoretical part when I took my test!

Now I've understood it... now I know why all the UK's drive on the wrong side of the road... And now being serious... if that is true, at least you can't forget anything... Have a nice weekend Dalek! [EDIT] And yes, I'm sure you saw it coming... [/EDIT]

One would think you would be able to get a book and memorize the stuff you got wrong after, oh say, 100 attempts. After 300 you should be able to recite the questions with the right answers to the tests. Not like they have more than 50-60 of them on there.

When me mam started driving, there was no test. Provo for nowt, and no accidents for a year got you a full one. That was late 1950's and her Dad taught her. He took her out to an old airfield with the huge fo Humber taxi and said when she could go end to end and turn around without stalling she could have a car pf her own. She got an MG TD, red with a white leather roof. Then she sold it ...

I learnt in the Army, started lessons on Monday, passed my test Thursday morning. This was in 1986!

Well, if only you were knocked off your vehicle thrice in six months. Mind you I'm a good driver, and every time an accident happened, the other party had violated the traffic signal or a traffic rule (like driving on the wrong side). The cops didn't do sh*t about it (they were expecting that I'd pay them money - I don't know for what). The people are unfriendly, the weather is HORRIBLE, the beaches are full of human...

Impressive. If I ever travel to India I will make sure to let someone else drive and be in a padded area of the vehicle.

This reminds me of the last time I was at the DMV getting my license. There was a foreigner that was applying for one in front of me and he was not able to read numbers, which were a part of the vision test. The woman giving the vision test walked him through and basically told him the numbers and he passed. Would you really want someone out on the roads that doesn't know how to read the speed limit signs??
