Nice video Lee; shows the scale well and things seem to be moving at a faster pace now. For anyone who wants to know what that patch of mud will look like, the ODA released new renders of the Olympic Village a couple of days ago and it now has its own website with an interative map: http://www.theathletesvillage.com/ This post has been edited by Rob ♪ : Oct 9 2008, 06...

baron has a point. BUT im just soooo glad they are all at least different in height and colour. i dont think i could deal with another o village with each building looking exactly the same. love that they are creating a community of buildings rather than the genericness we saw in beijing and athens

I can't even picture Beijing's or Athens' villages; as long as it's functional and works after the Games it doesn't really matter how spectacularly pretty it all is because the world won't see it. This post has been edited by Rob ♪ : Oct 10 2008, 03:41 AM

I can't find anything on the British news wires to confirm they're changing from 4,000 to 3,000 units. Even if it is true, I'm sure the athletes will survive. Is it me or are athletes becoming more and more pampered? Their every need is catered for, and it's getting to the stage where we're one step away from treating them like royalty.
