I am 11 years older than my husband. At first it was a big issue for me and sometimes still make me uncomfortable.
However, we get along pretty well. Normally people can't tell I am older, unless I say so, which I think is good.
I've heard stories of couples that lived long terms relationships in the same situation or ever bigger age difference.
Is just a little scary for me, thinking of ...
I've been there. The age difference was the same as yours. It lasted about 6 years. Then I found that mentally he wasn't keeping up to me and was still in the partying stages of life whereas I had moved on from it. I told him that he had six months to clean up or I was leaving the marriage. Six months came and I left. All for the better for me!! Hope it works for you!
I am six years older than my husband...I think we got lucky. My husband is very responsible and mature. AND...he's absolutely crazy about me...definitely a plus!!
Not my business, but I don't see a problem with it. You said yourself that you get along well and have been for several years.
If you love him then what does the age thing matter. I'm not a woman so I don't understand your age feeling. It doesn't seem to bother your husband so I really don't understand the problem. Maybe some of the ladies here could shed some light on an issue I don't ...
My ex an I were married for 22 yrs. and she was not only 10 years older but she was also of the Jewish faith and I was a Bible believing Christian. Can happen but compromise, love, committment and broad shoulders are key. Have a sense of humor about the embarasing situations. My Dad also married an older and a younger woman and many folks thought that my siblings were my children, talk about ...

My husband is crazy about me too. i guess I am just a little insecure.
thanks
One of the happiest couples I know have been married for over 30 years, she is 15 years older than he is. He married her at 24 or 25. They are perfectly suited to one another and always seemed to be in the same place in life, despite the age difference.

Embrace the fact that he's crazy about you and go from there.
Don't let the fear of what others may think or say intervene in any way. What you two share is the only thing that matters...

I agree that age doesn't matter. It the mentality. If you grow together thats wonderful. By no way was I being negative on my earlier response.
It seems a lot of females feel insecure from time to time. I'm guess ing that while you are a 'looker' it took more than looks to commit for life...the only thing that can mare the beautiful or the rodinary womans life is, dishonesty... keep it real embrace the ageing of your union and yourselves... You both believe in a God of heaven and earth, embrace that... oh and as a recovering Catholic (LOL myself) faith grows as well as...

It depends on the individuals. Age differences don't matter much when you're both over 20 and under 75 Before and after those ages, it can make a difference.
