Sheesh, when I saw "old timers", I thought the thread would be about the 40's or 50's. 70's: Harvest gold and avocado green home appliances -- green, gold and brown were popular colors for home decor Mood rings Ouija boards (again) Bell bottom pants -- not just jeans. I had a pair that were red/white/blue plaid, with cuffs Edgar Cayce books, especially the one on earth ...

Speaking of commercials, 74-75 was the run of those Mean Mary Jean ads for Chrysler-Plymouth. Mary Jean was a young hottie in a football jersey and denim short shorts. I still remember the stupid jingle (sung by a barbershop quartet, IIRC): Hello Hello Hello Mean Mary Jean Our superstar Tell us about our Chrysler Plymouth cars (and then she would) Mary Jean was played by Judy Strangis . Also, Ricardo Montalban's Chrysler Cordoba ad...

This thread has brought back so many memories. Quadraphonic Sound came out in 1970. Primarily a 4 channel format for records. There was even a Quadraphonic 8-Track! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quadraphonic_sound Once in awhile I still see someone's prized 70's Quadraphonic system for sale on ebay.
