Thread: Ok ladies I need some Ideas

My husband was just deployed a few weeks ago and I'm sending him a box with some stuff that he forgot and pictures of our 2 month old little girl but I need some ideas of other things that I could send him to help with him being away. This is my first deployment and its been hard for both of us. So if you have any ideas of good things to send him PLEASE let me know I am all ears no matter what ...

Make sure he has some good shower shoes and extra socks.

if he smokes send him like a carton of his fav cigs.. my hubby told me that the ones they sell over there are terrible.. also socks are good! send him a little homemade dvd.. my hubby loved that!

depends on how big the box is your sending: shower shoes* socks* batteries snacks ( nothing that will melts) pictures are great favorite shower gels.etc a love letter from you basically all the things he may not be able to get himself no matter how common they are

Oh and stock him up on baby wipes cus he may go out on a mission n not have showers there so he will have to clean himself with those.

I agree .. my husband says they always crave toiletries of any kind...including rolls of TP.  Fresh towels in case something happens to the ones he has or cant do laundry for  x # of days.  For Easter I sent my husband a dozen plastic eggs filled with a candy and a little love note and he saved all of the eggs in his deployment box where he keeps special things he wants to remember from them.   ...

I sent a pillowcase with my pictures on it. His guys are SO jealous! I also sent him a coffee mug with pictures of our family on it. (Its a plastic one.. and you add the pictures. 10 bucks at Target.) He said he carries his cup with him everywhere. I sent home made brownies! 6 dozen!!!! I bought the vaccum seal bags by Ziplock! He said they were fresh as can be when he opened them. and all 6 ...
