I presume this is American Football? Good luck in the superbowl, if you get there.

Perhaps someone can tell me the place of college teams in the US. ie - the quality is lower than the NFL , but the stadiums are bigger? How does that work?

Field goal range is different in college. Kickers don't have the range or the consistency of the NFL guys. Perhaps that is why they went for the first. I don't know, because I wasn't watching that game. edit- If they were truly in the kicker's range, I think going for the first is a bad call too. With six minutes left you have to put points on the board. They are bound to get the ball back, and could then potentially taken...

We had the Canadian pro football championship last Sunday - the Grey Cup. With no time left on the clock and down by 2 points, Montreal tried a field goal. It was wide. The Saskatchewan faithful began to celebrate but someone pointed out the flag on the field. Sask had too many players on the field. Montreal got a second try and this time it was good. I understand the extra Sask. player is still in hiding.

When I mentioned the tiddleywinks team, I'm sure should have qualified that as the "intramural" teams. I don't believe tiddleywinks is yet ready for olympic status. On the other hand, both the USA and England seem to have a pretty good tiddleywanks team. East of the pond, Parliament. West of the pond, Congress. Both a bunch of tiddleywankers. Mark Twain once said it and I'll paraphrase: Nobody's life,...
