I went 3-1 last night with this. My match loss was against Red Sligh and I was running Guardian Seraph instead of Ajani Vengeant. (Didn't have the Ajani's)

I've got a Bant Fog deck that has Luminarch and Martial Coup as win-cons:
Bant Fog Land 24 Lands Fogs 4 Fog 4 Angelsong 4 Safe Passage 4 Sleep Accel / Fixing 4 Harrow 4 Garruk Wildspeaker Win 4 Luminarch Ascension 4 Martial Coup 4 Mind Spring Sideboard 4 Negate 4 Cancel 4 Meddling Mage 3 Path to Exile Really fun, 4-1 in ...
fog doesnt really belong here until proven to be "good". I also suggest you play testing against one of the other decks posted in this forum, those decks you play tested against isnt exactly good right now so..
While not exactly Luminarch Control, it follows the same principles and sideboards in the luminarchs against control or somewhat slower decks. I won FNM with it two weeks ago, and has done fairly well under one of my friends piloting (2-1-1 in swiss, just out of top 8, and a top 8 in another constructed tournament):
Deck Lands: 25 4x Arid Mesa 4x Jungle Shrine 6x...

No offense or anything but isn't that the point of suggesting cards ...
Just got back from FNM. Went 3-1 with U/W Luminarch Control. Here's the deck, and then I'll do match-up analyses:
4 Ponder
4 Negate
4 Hindering Light
4 Path to Exile
3 Luminarch Ascension
3 Angelsong
2 Rite of Replication
3 Sphinx of Jwar Isle
4 Wall of Denial
4 Deft Duelist
1 Iona, Shield of Emeria
9 Island
8 Plains
4 Glacial Fortress
3 ...
Like others have said you need to test against aggro decks. I used a Bushwacker deck and i faced this style of deck... they ended up losing turn 3-4 everytime.
I'm also thinking that a GW build of some sort could be made Emeria angel, luminarch, baneslayer, vines, harrow... i mean it has potential but it would require testing and i'll be back if i remember to post
I've been running Luminarch Fog in the Bant colors. The deck is amazing against aggro, however, it dies horribly to any deck running enchantment removal like Esper Charm , Maelstrom Pulse and so on. I'm using eight counterspells in my other deck just to handle all the removal nowadays. On the other hand, this deck has other win conditions than my other, which relies on milling the opponent ...
Does anyone know the final record for Calosso Fuentes at the 5k? I wanna know how well he did.
I feel like Ascension has sooo much potential, but we need good cards to go with it, which we don't have right now.

If the card is bad against The "Best Deck" in the format then it most certainly does not deserve a Spot in the MD __________________ http://forums.mtgsalvation.com/showthread.php?t=158474

That sample is the only reason this deck is in the Pro Tour Circuit forum. is the deck that made Top 16. No Control has made an impact, anywhere. Different card choices? Sure. Removing an entire color and major theme (i.e. CA/CD)? That's a different deck all together.

I have serious issue about the manabase of the UWR decks posted in this thread. In my testing I find that the relative low number of red cards and the need to cast them earlier (bolt, earhquake and Ajani are the best answers to the fast aggro enviroment) is a big problem of consistency. On the other hand you need to have blue ready for a T3 blightning, and probably double white for an early DoJ. I love the deck (I am playing it since Zendikar...
