In the world of dyno numbers and the myriad of excuses that can be made why this car or that didn’t hit the numbers expected there is one defining moment that clears the air; when the rubber hits the pavement. We can talk about dyno numbers all we want but the times and traps posted at the track cut through all the minutia and tells us definitively what is under the hood, and more. For Johns ...

Nobody's laughing man, that 1/8th converts to a mid 12 quarter mile. So let's see, 96 cams, gears and some traction. Sounds like 11's are in your future. What's up with the dished pistons? I assume the automatic trans and low compression are in preperation for a turbo?

hey just noticed im still on the "front page" with my old 320 number. update- 330/327 SAE RWHP/RWTQ. well past the break in- and still using shell rotella. mainly because its cheap and synthetics = 5bhp. not worth the cost to me right now. working on a short runner intake NOW for it. just give me time. and just curious- WHO out there is running a auto trans besides me? I looked at the list, but it doesn't mention...

No picked up Carlos's that he had with most recent motor. It has the long runners removed. I would like to do a back to back comparison, but we will see if time allows.

The problem is that you are kinda mismatched. That intake needs to be cut and the runners shortened. I bet that would free up alot of power. It will not kill your low end. It may be less than you have now, but this isn't a big low end torque motor to begin with. I still can't figure out why people even talk about low end torque with a puny 281 ci. Also, that $$$ forged assembly is just extra weight with a mild combo like this. The...
