Thread: Odd o2 broadband issue

Started 1 month, 4 weeks ago by Boygor
Hi all, I'm scratching my head over this one. I currently have o2 home access broadband from the Inverness Macdhui exchange and evenings are giving me a headache. I am currently getting excellent speeds during the day - around 6meg but come evening my speeds are reduced to (much) less than 0.5 meg when I am downloading directly/ streaming video/ browsing the web. Thanks for getting back to me! I shall give o2 a ring (thank god for 0800 nunbers) and put this to them. I shall post an update after I chat ...

I had this with Vispa a few years ago, that time it was a BT equipment misconfiguration problem; and it cropped up several times before it was finally hit on the head. I had exactly the same symptoms, excellent P2P and almost unusable internet.

I just registered here after seeing this thread. I recently switched to O2 Broadband Access last week and what a surprise... internet browsing is really pain in the ass... when downloading a file (from MU, rapidshare, etc) I only get an average of 20KBps (160kbps).. always get a buffering from online video streams.. This is not what I am expecting to have. My previous broadband ...
