As I drive it gets even hotter and its close to 50F outside. Bypassed t-stat just to see if it was my t-stat but same problem. Bleeded system properly, key on, heater on, filled it up, started the car with cap off and after coolant started to rise up close to the neck, I put cap back on. Heater blowing burning heat so I assume there is no air in system.
No coolant leaks, good fan clutch, good...
I was actually thinking about that as I know mid 90s bmws had propeller issues that was plastic and would break off but Im not sure about M104s . Does this cars have plastic propellers too?
I doubt its water pump. No bearing noise, no coolant leak and I spun it
around when I replaced serp belt and felt normal. Motor only got 120k and
MB coolant since it rolled out of factory.

But make of it what ...
Another weird part of this is that, it doesnt have any coolant loss, I mean it stays exactly on point where I fill it cold. .
I just dont want to pop the head off and still have same problem.
So, follow my thinking here for a second;
*you've got the proper amount of coolant in there,
*you've removed the thermostat to eliminate that as a blockage,
*your fans come on according to spec,
*you don't have a coolant leak,
And yet you want to ignore the water pump to remove the head?
Water pump was replaced about 2 years ago, like I said, I checked water
pump play and bearing noise last week when I did serp. belt on it. Didnt
find anything abnormal with it.
Took out spark plugs and noticed some crust on 5 and 6 rest where good. Cked water pump again, this time, took hoses off, stuck fine long screwdriver to see if my propeller would not spin while I was spinning pulley and it does, so water pump is good. 99.9% Im sure in 2 years would not have gotten so corroded to the point where blades would have come apart.
Tore engine apart already, got ...
Thats because you didnt have pressure leak out, just had oil leaking into cooling system, and Im glad I didnt have coolant/oil mixing because it would have been pita trying to clean out cooling system and possibly replacing all the softened coolant hoses. I used to be a technician and compare to toyotas, nissans, bmws, VWs, saab and jags, it was pretty straight forward. I have all the tools in my garage so I didnt have to run back and forth...
Aye Caramba I didn't see anywhere you had said you had already replaced the waterpump. But it seems like you are thoroughly diagnosing your problem as you go along. And the head gasket is one of the common problems so I can see how you got there. Good luchk.
