Ordered a 1.9tdi elegance estate with sunset glass 2 weeks ago. Phoned dealer for update on delivery date. He has been quoted February!! He has been at VAG who have brought the date back a bit, but his story is software problem at factory, and problems with the new bolero radio units. Sounded a bit sus, anyone got any inside info.
It wouldn't surprise me if there were delays.
People are starting to realise that Skoda is a VW and you're getting VW quality for substantially less than the cost of a VW either Golf, Passat or Polo.
Personally I'd rather have the delay and know that any quality issues have been sorted out & I'm going to get a great car.

I wonder if it depends on dealer or spec ordered so just random delays. I'm aware the 1.4TSI has delays till Feb/March.
I ordered my car 2 weeks ago and had a build week with a day or 2, which is Week 44. Maybe there has been a rush of orders since then.

or are the vRS models made elsewhere? Maybe they are not sure, but even a weeks ordering apart seems to have led to a 7 week build date gap, may also depends on options I think.
My dealer said if ...

I've not heard anything yet, even though I ordered the car a week ago.
I do know that the salesman is away this week, so will probably find out in the next couple of days, I'm not really that worried as I don't need the car until early December anyway, the only reason I ordered it when I did was to ensure that it qualified for the VAT-free & 0% finance deals, which it should do with ease.

will have been at dealers nearly 2 weeks buy then, hold up is DVLA, all i'm asking them to do on the car is activate the cornering fogs and anti-hijack
My vRS Estate must be in with your cars. Ordered first week Sept, was told build week was 19th and that its built. Its a petrol DSG with everything except SatNav, leather and MDI!
[QUOTE=nokiauk;1871023]Well dealer called yesterday, my car which was ordered 18th August is now confirmed built and is sitting in a German port awaiting shipping. Dealer hopes it will ship by early next week then probably another week till it reaches him. Mine was ordered a few days after yours and will be at the dealer's on Monday for collection Wednesday.

But it was very useful (and fun .. in a sad geeky way ..) being able to read all about the car before I collected it!

Re: Octavia Long delivery times my dealer rang ten past seven tonight (long day!) says car is built and waiting for shipping at port...I should actually have it before the end of this month which is about 4 weeks earlier than I expected ( I ordered 4th august) __________________ new vRS on its way..get here quicker week 37 damn you!
