Thread: Obama bows down to Japan's Emperor

Started 1 month, 1 week ago by jdtippett
Uh, I thought we fought WWII, in part, so we wouldn't have to do this? For those who don't recognize him, the short guy Obama is bowing down to is Emperor Akihito, the son of a fellow named Hirohito (whose name may be familiar to anyone who has a clue regarding the history of our relationship with Japan.) How wonderful during this Veterans' Day week that the United States ...

Is his wife the one that visited Venus?

Another valid point here. Does Obama not have a protocol adviser? As head of state he is of equal status with the emperor. He should not be bowing, unless he's just trying to do the Japanese convention greeting. He didn't bow to the Queen of England. Again he had no protocol adviser because he grabbed her hand to shake it before she extended her hand. Bad! Bad! Bad! But like him or not,...

NEWS FLASH- WWII IS OVER.... WE WON..... WE USED NUCLEAR (erp Nuke-U-Lur) WEAPONS ON THEM AND.... REPEAT WE WON. Japan is now a friend of ours. Bowing is a customary greeting... much like fist bumping. WAIT A SECOND..... IS THAT TWO GROWN MEN KISSING???? IS GWB KISSING A SAUDI??? WAIT A MINUTE... WHAT (sorry for the caps lock) NATIONALITY WERE THE PILOTS WHO FLEW PLANES ON 9/11 Let us be ...

That's the second-most obviously Photoshopped picture I've ever seen. If any photographer who ever worked for me had tried to pass that one off as legit, he would have been in the unemployment line by morning. "Second-most?" Yep. And at least the guy who put together the cringe-inducer below knew how to use the program. Kinda looks like Obama doing a press conference without ...

Yeah, some images just stand on their own with no help from the Photoshop crowd.

Images aside... where were you when GWB was fraternizing with the king of a country we should have been at war with ? *OUTRAGE ICON*

Probably the same place I was when Jimmy Carter was selling fighter jets and arms to the Shah of Iran, shortly before he was overthrown in the revolution and Iran became Public Enemy Number 1: Right here. War on Saudi Arabia? On what grounds? Unilaterally? Without even having any United Nations sanctions as a starting point? What kind of logic is that? Some ...

g-papadopolis replied 1 month, 1 week ago
Logic? You are a bush supporter and his legacy is: he invaded a country that had absolutely nothing to do with the terrorist attacks of 9/11.... nothing zilch nada... and HE KNEW IT AT THE TIME.. How many trillions of dollars and ruined lives is GWB responsible for, just because he wanted to be a "war prez-i-dunt". Good thing GWB wasn't prez on December 7, 1941... he would have declared war ...

Two ways to view that, PAPPY. You could say we took 25 cents of every dollar from everybody who made more than $100,000 a year to fund the  national defense - one of those few duties specifically assigned to the Federal government in the U.S. Constitution - and borrowed money for tax rebates to the poor, healthcare, foodstamps, national intelligence centers in...

That’s a hoot. The old fair-and-balanced line that “history will treat him kindly” only works because historians won’t be able to prosecute bush and cheny for their criminal activity and for bankrupting this country. Saying that bush was a decent commander in chief is like saying Alferd Packer was a decent chef. MyFriend- The current POTUS is kinda stuck with what he was handed. I have more confidence that he will be able to do a...

I guess Dubya was responsible for the cash for clunkers, and the massive spendulus?  Sometime or another the folks in the Administration will run out of opportunities to blame Bush.  Of course it is conveniently forgotten that the Democrats controlled the purse strings for the last 2 years of Bush's presidency. If they were so indignant about using communist money to fund the war, they could have cut off funding for the...

Unfortunately we funded both national defence and national entitlements with borrowings from foreign investors. The total cost of Dubya's two wars through fiscal '09 was $944 billion. The total debt owed foreign sources is  $3.4 trillion. That doesn't play well in Peoria nor in Anderson. -pappy I guess Dubya was responsible for the cash for clunkers, and the massive spendulus?  Sometime or another the folks in...

You mean by giving terrorists rights of American citizens and trials by juries of their peers?  Unless you want suits of racial/religious profiling, there will have to be muslims deliberatly seated on these juries and then sensitive U.S. documentation will be turned over to people who want nothing more than the complete destruction of our society.  I feel safe now!!!!
