I got a problem with this. Now, I am not unsympathetic to sick people, particularly those with a terminal disease, but how many people will flock here for free treatment at the expense of the American taxpayer. What's next? How would giving them a visitor's visa result in free treatment? We aren't talking legal immigration, here? In an emergency, everyone who presents at an er gets treated, but beyond that.

They would still end up treating them. A an example read about hospitals along the US/Mexico border.

IN the er, yes, because of a 1980's law. Nothing is required beyond that. It doesn't mean it isn't given, but it is not required. Our government actually hands out millions in hospital grants to treat illegals (someone on a visitor visa would not be illegal) -- big money in Miami to treat Cubans (hmm, is that one foot dry?) and Latinos according to a CNN report I saw. How many won't leave, they get lost, live on counterfeit documents, seek asylum, can't go home for political reason and end up here as a public burden. They also risk spreading the disease and we have enough carriers here already.
