Thread: O/T--Halloween!

Started 1 year, 3 months ago by lightningstar
I'm posting this thread for gndandpbfan - What do people do for Halloween. Do they decorate, if so to what extent? Go to parties? Just give out candy? Any stories to share?

In the UK the area i live we dont bother much with it. I have a bag of sweets to hand out, incase any one will ring the bell. Last year i had one child ring on the bell. My area is an area (thank fully) with out children (lol)

I try to hand out candy if I'm home! I think I have to work this year, though. We decorate our front yard with a grave yard & stuff like that. It's so fun!

I never was much of a Halloween fan until the last few years. I really started getting into the makings of my daughter's Halloween costume(maybe thanks to Bri!) Now she wins the costume contest every year! We get so many compliments from people where I take her trick o treating. Last year she was a beautiful geisha. We're both huge Marilyn Monroe fans...

How old is your daughter, Anibanani? Marilyn is my favorite person so I think the costume sounds ADORABLE!!

My daughter will be 10 this november. I've been a fan of her's since I was about 14. I'm thrilled that my daughter finds her as lovely and fascinating as I do! Maybe I will post a pic here(and blur her face) so you all could see it too!

Awww, I'm sure my kids will love her, too (when I have some.. haha) Yes, please post a blurry face picture!! I'd love to see it.

Halloween is by far my favorite holiday. Our house is covered in lights, decorations, and so are the trees. This year I bought these giant spooky blinking eye lights to hide in the trees. I try to make it spooky/cute. I have at least 3 jack-0-lanterns and piles of candy. My daughter is in HS and STILL dresses up lol...

Can't wait to see the costumes this year! I think I am going to go something for my son...he is only 15 months but last year we dressed him as a sailor. It was classic!! LOL

lightningstar replied 1 year, 3 months ago
> My daughter is in HS and STILL > dresses up lol Mine too! LOL This year, I think she wants to dress up as Gene Simmons from KISS (she's been Gene two other times already, once for Halloween & the other for their concert, long ago, so I think she wants to do it again). It could change before then...

I'm not going out or anything on Halloween, but if I were, Playboy has a CUTE Mrs. Claus costume that I saw in the catalog.

Well I do remember Holly was in charge of Hef's myspace account so I wonder if the twins are now running it. At the party the twins had security with them at all times and the GND did not. I was told only Hef's girlfriends get security. It was sad.

So it's not a "party" per say, just a family/friend event?

I don't know starmaker, I haven't done the photo thing in ages. I wouldn't send in anything if you are already getting invited to fun in the sun.

> I also saw the Playboy > costumes. They are VERY expensive!!! The school girl > costume that Bridget wore in "Girls will be Ghouls" > was $89. I know! I am not celebrating Halloween this year, because I have WAY too much going on, but I got one of the "naughty cop" outfits from Playboy last year, and that was about $69. I liked the outfit itself - however, I had to buy some shorts for it b/c...
