MSM is an idiot for not having the shoes to try on w/the dress. This is just typical of her and is prob. another excuse to buy the "poufy" dress that Prance Eric "allegedly" wants her to wear.

I had a "custom" dress. It cost $200 total. When looking at dresses the alterations alone for me would have been about $250-300. Sucks when you are short for crap like that. The only dress I bought from David's did need alterations for me, but it was the straps only. I admit I took it elsewhere since David's asked for about double the money.
