Started 1 month, 2 weeks ago by cookee62
After some in depth Searching I'm still not too sure what to do about my problem: Background - I just put on TC UCA, FOx 2.5 Coil overs, and Finally after 2 months got my WE TRue beadlocks rims w/ 4.5in backspacing. I finally finished it with BFG AT 285/70/17. Im rubbing on the back mudflaps and the close front? I trimmed the front and that rubbing is gone but now they keep rubbing ...

Those are 33" tires. You either need to do some fender trimming or crank up the lift and run lower backspacing. Clearancing the fenders is the name of the game when it comes to running larger tires. You can run those tires with no rubbing, but you have to pound down the fender wells and for some with the 05+ models, you will have to cut and mod the body mount.

Remove the mudflaps. They provide minimal protection to the "electrical components" you speak of and many 05+ owners will attest they arent worth damn. Adjust your CO's with the weight off of them until the fins on your CV boots almost touch, Then get the body mount chopped and re-plated that is in the rear of your of your two front fenderwells. That is the short but simple way to do it.
