When the new Malibu came out I loved the nose and the sides, but wasn't big on the tail end (it's growing on me, but I don't love it.)
This car looks great from every angle. If the reliability is there, this should be another home run for GM.

The new Regal is something...wow...it's just beautiful and such a step in the right direction. It used to be that you couldn't buy a "nice" American car unless you went to Caddy, and even then they were filled with Cavalier ...
Thats kind of a balsy move going all 4cyl . in a car like this . Its a great looking car and ....super cool that they left the insignia interior virtually unchanged .
Now , about that AWD , 6-speed MANUAL , turbo v6 GS
I've always been a fan of Buick (have a Regal GS right now and love it, by far the best car I've ever owned), but for some reason that car doesn't excite me as much as I hoped it would.
Maybe it's just the color, I don't know. I don't hate it, but it just looks kinda boring to me.

I like it. Love the engine choices, I just hope they offer the turbo 2.0L with a manual some day. Nice to see 18" wheels standard. This is the first Buick car that I would consider buying. I would way rather have this than a Malibu, Accord, Camry, Altima, etc..
I hope these are the 19"s they offer

Also in an automotive application I have to imagine flash memory would be more reliable. could be flash, although since it...

It is also a very different environment than the tower sitting at home. The durability testing cars go through would end up with a desktop or laptop hard drive in bits. I just think the whole hard drive is useless. Who uses those when they'd just plug in their mp3 player/phone - or just slap a CD in there.
I would , jus dump your iPod library into the radio and leave the iPod at home or in my case ya wouldn't have to plug ur phone in everytime u get in the car . Not like that's a big deal , but still . I also hate having a bunch of cd's in the car .... HD=problem solved .

Nonetheless, I think any 'performance' model needs a manual to send the message that this is a different Buick. Agreed. There would...

Hard drive capacities skyrocketed so fast that there is a large backstock somewhere of perfectly functional 10-40GB drives available for very low prices, which were manufactured with the intent of putting them in computers, but then never actually used for that purpose, and now nobody wants them. 2....

Anyway, back on topic, the car looks quite nice. Wish the 2.0L turbo were tuned a little closer to the Sky / Solstice / Cobalt SS / HHR SS version. And I agree, the fuel economy numbers are stupid. The car should be in the low to mid 30s on the highway.
I hope Epsilon II is a better platform for sporty driving characteristics. I know my Aura doesn't exactly have a sport-tuned suspension by design but the chassis itself is just downright cheap and flimsy feeling compared to cars like the 1-series and TSX.
