Ever since I started riding 3-4 years ago it's been something I've had to do no matter what. Kind of like breathing. I never missed an opportunity to ride even venturing out on days when I knew I probably shouldn't.
Since the end of September I find myself just not caring much anymore. I keep passing on opportunities to ride and weekends when I would normally be running out the...
Yep, I'm going through it right now!! I still would rather ride to work, weather permitting, but I haven't really had the urge to go for a ride on my days off.
I blame it on my other "newest" hobby! I would rather stay home and putter on my cars or surf the internet for more of them!! That and hubby works all the time, so he can't ride. So it is better to stay home with him and the cars! He...
Yep, I think it happens with anything you do a lot. Sometimes your just not that into it. You'll start feelin it again, just go out and do something else you enjoy for a while until riding gets in your blood again.
Oh ya! Right now I can't get motivated to do much of anything! I look forward to my next BIG ride, but I just can't get excited about a routine run up in the Gold Country or yet another venture to Yerington to check on my dad. Much less resistant to sitting home playing with my new computer in my jammies with a cup o' java. Sad but true...

Turn off the demon screen! It's eeeeeeeeeevill! It glues you to the couch, steals your time, promotes indolence, and feeds depression.
Even if you decide not to ride go polish chrome or wash your gear or even read a good book. In desperation you might even try reading a bad book and making notes in the margins before you throw it away.
Don't watch a movie or DVD because it's just ...

It's funny but I agree with this. I once went for two years without a TV or computer in the house and didn't miss it. I read a lot ...
I think everyone that has riden for awhile....can relate! I know that I have been in that place before. Maybe even lately. See I own a street bike and a dual sport. The dual sport is the newer side of riding I have been exploring in the last 2 1/2 yrs....I really enjoy it. More so than pavement riding. Which I do love.
So over the last 6 weeks...three Fridays (I am off every other ...

Re: Not feeling too pashnit lately... The enthusiasm to ride comes and goes. Make sure your mind is on the ride. It is great therapy when you need alone time. 70 miles yesterday felt pretty good. __________________ 'Those who sacrifice liberty for safety deserve neither' Benj. Franklin
