Started 3 years, 1 month ago by 2st Maniac
Hey..... long time no speak
Ive had a lil bit of a problem..... since holeing my arrow exhaust in the winter ive since bought a new standard pipe from
ebay (£50 but its immaculate), since ive fitted this exhaust (i jet'd back to the standard jetting, 155main etc etc) the bike was running a bit ruff with the arrow as it had a leaky exhaust gasket and what seemed to be a sticky PV, it ...
There where few cases that people bought a standard exhaust on egay and then discovered its restricted although it said de-restricted in the description or did not say anything at all.
thats e worst of it mate it even states that it was an unrestricted model off a 99 model bike - the lying swine
Looks like i'll need to get my old standard/well fked exhaust brazed and see how long it lasts
Anyone know what the jetting is that comes as standard on a restricted bike as i'd hate to blow a hole in ma piston cause of this shtty pipe
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/...
the arrow does weigh loads less than the standard pipe.
the cat pipe weighs loads more.
i changed mine and it had 2 rivits aswell but was the same code and same size as the old pipe. and ran the same. i take it you fixed the gasket. and you adjusts the carb settings.cleaned the pv etc?
Hi guys cheers for all the replys - much obliged
The Needles still at at the original position (this its the 3rd clip i just changed the main for a 165 when i was running the arrow - yes lazy swine i know)
This exhaust weighs twice as much as the standard exhaust ive got at home (not the arrow - its bout 3 times heavier than that) and the end cans alot longer - its in far too good ...
if it weighs 3 times more then its got the cat. mine had the rivits like yours but weighed the same and performed the same as my old one. if its in good nick i would just remove the cat by cutting it in half and ripping it out and welding it back together.
