Thread: New owner

Started 2 months, 1 week ago by LuvLux
Hello, I just purchased a 2008 IS 250. There are so many things to learn about the car, but have a basic question. Considering I bought it used from a non-Lexus dealer, I didn't think to ask some basic questions. I just assumed all late model luxury cars were satellite ready and up to the owner to purchase the subscription if they wanted it. I have a subscription on the car I traded in and want ...

Knightshade, First, not sure how you came to the conclusion that I didn't buy a fully loaded car costing upwards of $45000. I made only one post so not sure how you can assume I wouldn't spend that kind of money. Second, yes the "fully loaded" term was used by the salesman and based on everything I saw on the car, including the radio button that says AM / SAT, I thought it was fully loaded ...

So you knew it was an '08!! My bad! My definition of fully loaded is most likely different in that I compared this car to what my previous car had. I have the window sticker and it includes the Luxury Package, Navigation with voice commands, Rear camera, Bluetooth and the Premium package as well. I did assume (my bad again) that if my previous car (Acura TL) came with satellite and all I ...

One more thing I can't get to work. The garage door opener. I hold the unit 1 to 3 inches away from the buttons in the car, but the red lights (on both) do not blink. They remain steady for as long as I depress both buttons. Again, this opener worked with my previous car which was a bit older so I thought it should work with the Lexus. Please be kind if you think I'm naive in comparing one ...

I don't have most of the items you listed, but that's ok. I was able to get what I wanted for a price that was affordable and got a good deal on my trade in. Would I like all that, sure, but I really tried to stay within a budget and get the color I wanted, which I did. As for the garage door opener... it was operator error. I played around with it and finally got it to work. Apparently I...
