Just watched it tonight.
SPOILER
He rushed that kill so freakin fast. He didn't really get any concrete evidence against the dude at all. I thought for sure it was the assistant.
And yea, it looks like so much shit is going to happen in the next ep, should be a good one.

what i dont understand about the show is how come their homicide division only does investigations on bodies that they find. dont the families of the people he kills file missing persons reports? i dont get it, how is it that the people he kills never even come up aside from ssn2?
if 40+ people went missing it would be an outrage and all over the news..
Yeah, I was wondering that too.
In S2, Doakes was catching on to Dexter and uncovering some of his killings. It seems like in this season, Quinn might be the one that starts catching on to him.
I'm sure the families do file missing persons but that wouldn't really fit into the show very well seeing as how there aren't any obvious bodies for the team to find.
Who knows, ...

what do you mean? in the earlier seasons they would find dexters victims all the time when he was known as the bay harbor butcher. since he pinned it on doakes the investigation was closed and dexter dumps the bodies into another place where the body bags float away.
and quinn finding out about dexter? i highly doubt it. in every season there is someone who sees dexter for who he really ...
From what I remember they only knew about the other murders because someone found them all. They didn't discover his new killings, they just found his graveyard.
And like someone said, he kills bad people who usually tend to be alone. I'm sure tons of people go missing all the time. They are sometimes poor, sometimes ex-cons, sometimes trailer trash that probably dont get reported ...

A lot of the people he kills are pretty much alone.
