a small spacer would help

Mini-89s10 replied 1 month, 2 weeks ago
alright, i just never heard of anyone having to get spacers and such after doing a 2/3, i went and looked at my friends x blazer, he has same drop as me and his tierods arnt even as close to the wheels as mine are. He's running 235/40/18s to on his.

its probably because of your wheels combined with the new spindles. actually now that i think about it,try getting a picture of the tie rod touching the wheel. if its rubbing the inside of the wheel and not just the lip then a spacer probably won't help.

alright ill get one up tomorrow for sure, Thx for the help so far.

that was happening with me with my 16s and 5/6 drop. i just put on a slip on spacer, 1/4 in or 1/8 in

i think what im goin to do tomorrow is grind the tie rod down just a little to by pass it for now to get it off the wheels so i can drive it, and start lookin for some new wheels with better backspacing or just maybe get a spacer. Sorry bout not getting a pic of it today i been kinda busy doing other stuff, but i can say it is just rubbing the edge of the wheel and not on the inside.

1/4 in spacers are cheap , and you'll regret grinding those tie rod's ....TRUST ME !

well i looked at it today when i had it parked on some blocks and tierods werent hitting the wheels but REALL close, idk what cuffed the edge of the wheels i couldnt find any marks from something rubbing besides the left tire rubbing the frame at full lock. so im think im going to invest in some spacers real soon lol

mine rub frame and lower control arm at full lock....i.e. i don't turn full lock ! and i'm usuing 1/4 shims already

Nitemare replied 1 month, 2 weeks ago
with my irocs i cant turn even close to full lock, even with the 1/4 in spacers. i cant go any wider on the spacer, because i am so far out towards the fender lip with an 8in wide rim and 245 tire. also the drop spindles poke the wheel out a bit too....

mine rub on the wheel lip,i can't use clip-on weights to balance it because it removes them. but it doesn't rub if i use sticky weights thats how close it is
