Thread: Natasha vs Faye Dunaway in The Handmaid's tale

Started 3 months ago by IloveHelen
I have seen this film, this evening where lovely Natasha acted opposite to famous actress Faye Dunaway; those two women are the focus of movie and really Natasha was astonishing for beauty and acting: poor Dunaway was a defeated antagonist.

Yep. No contest. BTW, that movie had some of the creepiest, jaw-dropping scenes ever.

Sure Natasha was wonderful in this film...she was sweatie, lovely and she acted very well than Dunaway was like always the nasty and wicked bitch

Agree with the creepy factor. The scene that comes to mind was the "ceremony." That whole process was beyond crazy. "Some day men will look back and say I gave birth to the 20th Century...JTR"

As for myself, I think Faye Dunaway played Faye Dunaway. RIP Natasha Richardson

"BTW, that movie had some of the creepiest, jaw-dropping scenes ever." I just watched this, and I agree completely! The first "ceremony" scene had me literally cringing. Those poor women. And the fact that the wives had to actually participate in the rape -- I think that's what freaked me out the most. A great movie though, one that definitely hit a nerve and had me thinking about ...

I think the wives wanted to take part in it--insisted on it, so they could feel as if they were in charge of what was going on and were part of the ritual of procreation.
