Thread: My plan for my wheels.

Started 2 months, 1 week ago by PeaceKeeper
I have the stock, silver painted wheels with the silver hub caps and plan to paint them. I bought a new set of the chrome hub caps off eBay for about $60 shipped to me and plan on selling the silver ones soon. I am going to paint my wheels black or gun metal, just trying to find the right color in a rattle can. I thought I would paint the bead area (1/2 inch area along wheel bead that is...

Worth a shot if you dont want to upgrade wheels right now. I think I would paint the whole wheel though and do a small red line instead of the whole bend. Pinstripe or something.

I want to get some nice wheels later, maybe when I need new tires, the truck has only 450 miles on it right now. I want to put my money in other mods first, I have the parts ordered for factory fog lights already.

i say do it without the chrome centers and paint the gray ones black aswell

You might be able to find red vinyl pinstripes on ebay. I know they make them specifically for sportbike wheels and can be bought pretty cheap on ebay. That would be hella easier and cheaper than painting a pinstripe.

I finished them last night, made a small change to them. Instead of satin black I used hammered black gloss, they have a little bronze look to them now. My truck is 2wd, I still trying to figure out to lower or raise to make it level. So far I am thinking raise the fron, but then my tires might look way too small.

looks tits, can't wait to see the front end done too. Level the front, sell your stock tires after you get new ones if you need to upgrade, easily youll get 300 bucks from craigslist. lots of trucks/suv's running that size tire. I ran the 245's for 3 months after leveling the truck.
