I'm really sorry, I don't know what the weight is, but maybe you could take her on a walk or something? Or play 'fetch' games with a ball of wool? Try just giving her one meal per day - at around 12, that is about 150% of the amount that you'd usually feed her. And anyway, having a cat thats a little chubby is okay - more cuddly. And Hey - everyone loves Garfield. lol Good luck

Hang your goldfish on the front of a tredmill and make the cat run. http://bulschmitter.files.wordpress.com/2009/02/fat-cat.jpg

There's some good advice here: http://www.littlebigcat.com/index.php?ac… Lakota is completely wrong about wet food. Wet food is much better than dry, especially when the cat needs to lose weight. And diet food is another big mistake (I know from experience). Diet cat food is just a marketing gimmick. If you feed the right food properly your cat will lose weight. Good quality food is best for losing, maintaining, and gaining weight....

The average weight is about 6-9lbs but 9 is getting quite overweight. My 2 year old cat is about 8 and is quite heavy but not too much. My other kitty is 3 months and she weights about 2lbs. Maybe your kitty is crying because it's thirsty because it's eating so much. Put a little saucer of water or milk next to it and see if it stops crying. But maybe you should take it to the vet if it carries on. It could be sore inside....

Depends on the breed. But usually a 2 yr old cat is healthy at 6 - 9 pounds. If she is spayed, yes she will put on alittle weight. You can feed her twice a day with no problem. Try playing with her more. Give her more execise. If you are giving her wet food, try dry only. Wet food has more calories then dry. You can buy weight control food, but since I've never tried it I can't say if it's any good or not.
