Thread: My house was robbed...

Started 2 months, 1 week ago by Pure Adrenaline
This was my first time dealing with a break-in. On Friday, 10/9, I went home after work. Once I arrived, I noticed the front door was open, which was not normal because I was not expecting anybody at all. The only other person who has a key to my house is my girlfriend and she was at her place. Upon looking in, I noticed debris in the foyer from the door being kicked in. I called the...

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. :) I'm putting together an alarm and surveillance system now. And I've written a letter to the Chief of Police which I will be sending out soon.

Sorry to hear bro. I know exactly how you feel (being robbed part). I was robbed last Feb, but they were in a lot longer then 15 secs. Mine was done around mid-night. I had the same feeling for about 4 months before it started going away. I got a security system, but that really doesn't help for these type of situations. Only makes them go quick instead of taking their time.

I wasn't talking about the LEO in my last post. I meant that I had a pistol, but the thieves stole that also.

The irony of the Montgomery police making fun of someone's name is astounding. Sorry to hear about your stuff man. I guess this is a bad place to insert the fact that my son has a teammate on his 5yo football team named (and I kid you not) DiJon.

Sorry to hear Rob. Pistola may be a part of the solution. The police are disappointing some times.

Dale and I are so sorry to read this, Rob. This is a terrible thing to happen, but especially to someone like you. It really pisses me off. You're right, it could have been much worse, but it sucks terribly none the less. Someone stole a small toolbox with, thankfully, only a hammer and two bent screwdrivers, (Serves their asses right.),out of Dale's truck last night at his old house. They ...

Update - I got a call from a captain from the Montgomery Police Department this morning. He said the Chief of Police forwarded him my letter and looked into it. He reviewed the tapes and found out who made the comment. It was interesting to find out that this person was already in disciplinary action and that's why he was assigned to a call desk. I was told that he wasn't going to be with the PD much longer, anyway. Further...
