I am the alpha, and they're fighting over who is going to be beta.

evenly matched? generally speaking, dogs work this out w/o killing each other; but it can be annoying for those used to a peaceful home. My boys "spar" constantly, then ten minutes later, they're happliy lying together somewhere

Edited on Sun Nov-08-09 09:57 PM by JonLP24 It actually isn't fighting, it's one bigger dog trying to kill(seems like) a smaller dog so they're not evenly matched. I tried several methods so I just keep them separated. When I'm asleep the smaller one sleeps inside a very large cage. About 5 feet wide, 8 feet long.

She gets the message. Then I watch for triggers for that behavior, like a new toy they both may covet, and avoid those situations. give attention freely, but fairly, and hopefully your...
