Can I get a free replacement from Microsoft?  A friend told me that there is a page on the Microsoft website where I could provide details of my software purchase, and maybe get a free replacement since I bought it from a seller on eBay on the understanding that it was genuine, for private use.  I couldn't find the web page so I phoned Microsoft on 0844 800 2400 (I'm in the UK).  They didn't...

Hi Ken,   If your Windows or Office is Non-Genuine, click the "Learn More Online" link in the Non-Genuine Notice message, you are receving. Hi Darren Many thanks for your advice.  I was afraid to run the WGA software again as I didn't know if it would block me from using my pc.  It pops up ever time at StartUp, but I just cancel it to resume 'normal use'.  I presume that it won't block me out as nobody has mentioned that this might happen. Dear Darin First, a belated apology.  I miss-spelt your name. Second, good but unexpected news.  On starting to follow your advice yesterday, WGA decided to accept my XP Professional 2002 as genuine!  Wierd, eh?  My friend said it might be because I bought my (non branded) pc originally with no operating system installed, and installed the above software myself from the disk I bought. ...
