Started 3 weeks, 3 days ago by onlyoneman
I'm using a Linksys wireless - G Router. Model: WRT54G and (unfortunately) a USB wireless adapter. It's a Samsung SWL-2300U on Windows XP SP3. I haven't been able to get any ports to open up properly using Utorrent with my wireless connection. It's a very strange situation for several reasons. The main reason being that a year ago when I used this exact same setup everything worked fine, now ...

I don't have much experience running uTorrent behind a router since I typically DMZ the main systems IP. But I'd look for a new firmware for the router if it hasn't been updated in a while. It can do wonders sometimes. Also double check that UPnP port mapping is enabled in uTorrent.

You may very well have to do that. It all depends on the modem, as a lot of the newer ones require that. I'd suggest that you go to http://www.portforward.com/ and see if your modem is on their site. With my old Cisco 675 it wasn't...

Try fully resetting your router (after backing up your settings) then restoring, and see if it works, it may be corrupted. I've had it happen to many a linksys router.
