An important purpose of skin is a barrier against infection. New skin is clearly more fragile but is still functional and impenetrable. IMO there would have to be a very obvious, open, raw and most likely bleeding or oozing wound to constitute a risk. venky, as BumbleBee says, from what you describe it doesn't sound like you were at any risk of HIV. I'd just like to ask about the testicle swelling you mentioned experiencing though, could you describe how it felt and how long it lasted? I'm only interested because it sounds similar to what I've felt for many weeks now. I would have asked this privately but there doesn't seem to be a way. Thanks.
